This policy explains how the Android application 9th Class Notes
(package pk.punjabboard.class9notes) handles information. It covers the app
itself and nothing else. If you open a link that takes you outside the app, that
destination has its own policy.
The app itself still does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, age, location or any other personal detail. It has no registration screen and no way to create an account, and it does not read your contacts, photos, files, camera or microphone.
The one change is advertising. To show ads, the ad partners described in section 5 automatically collect a device advertising identifier and basic technical information (device model, operating system version, language, approximate — not precise — location derived from IP address, and general app-usage signals such as which ads were shown) so that an ad can be selected and measured. This is standard for any ad-supported app and is handled by those partners' own systems, not by code we wrote.
So that the app remembers where you were and what you have done, a small amount of information is written to your phone's own private storage for this app. It is never transmitted. This is the complete list:
| Stored as | What it is |
|---|---|
bookmarks | Questions you have saved |
last_chapter | The chapter you were last reading |
read_chapters | Which chapters you have opened |
quiz_best_… | Your best quiz score for each chapter |
quiz_taken_total | How many quizzes you have attempted |
streak_days, streak_last_day | Your study streak |
dark_mode | Whether dark mode is on |
text_scale | Your chosen text size |
urdu_mode | Whether Urdu terms are shown |
Android keeps this in the app's private area, where other apps cannot read it.
The app requests Internet access and the Advertising ID permission, both added solely so ads can be requested and shown. It still asks for nothing else — no contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or location permission. You can confirm this yourself: open Settings → Apps → 9th Class Notes → Permissions on your phone.
The app shows ads to stay free. Ads are served through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource), an ad-mediation service that runs an auction between advertising networks; Meta Audience Network is the advertising partner that bids into that auction on this app. Separately, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) is used only to show the consent form required in the EEA, UK and similar regions — it does not itself serve ads. No separate analytics or crash-reporting service is used.
Each of these companies may collect the advertising identifier and technical information described in section 2 under their own privacy policies:
Where the law requires it (EEA, UK and similar regions), the app asks for your consent before any personalised advertising is used, through the Google-certified consent form mentioned above. You can review or change that choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy options inside the app, on devices where that option applies.
No personal information collected by the app itself is shared, because the app itself still collects none. The only sharing that happens is the advertising data described in section 5, which flows directly between your device and the ad partners named there — Unity (LevelPlay/ironSource), Meta Audience Network and Google — so that an ad can be selected and shown. There is no server that belongs to this app, and nothing is sold.
This app is a study aid for Grade 9 students, most of whom are around 13–15 years old. The app itself still collects no personal information about anyone, child or adult — there is no sign-up, no account and no profile for a child to be identified by.
The advertising described in section 5 is handled by our ad-mediation partner's standard settings for this app's audience, and consent is requested first in regions where that is legally required. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and a parent or guardian who has a concern about the ads shown to a child using this app can contact us using the details in section 11.
Because everything is stored on your own device, you are in full control of it:
No request to us is needed, and there is nothing held elsewhere that we could delete on your behalf.
The exercise questions follow the Grade 9 syllabus of the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board. The worked solutions, explanations and all software in this app are original. This app is not published by, endorsed by or affiliated with the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board or any government body.
This section previously said that if the app ever added an online feature, this page would be updated before the new version released — version 1.1.0, which added ads, is that update. If the app changes again in a way that affects this policy, this page will be revised and the effective date at the top changed before the new version is released.
If anything here is unclear, or you believe the app behaves differently from what is described, please get in touch.
